Fine mountain & dam views!!!
I had the pleasure of staying at a picturesque resort that offered amazing views of the Drakensberg mountains and the Bell Park Dam. From the balcony, I was able to soak in the beauty of nature and enjoy a tranquil ambiance that was lovely. The hiking trail down to the dam provided me with an amazing experience of canoeing and having a braai alongside the water. It was a great stay for me and my group of friends, creating new very nice memories.

Stunning location with amazing views. The staff were helpful and friendly. The entertainment area with splash pool and hot tub was a great place to relax.
The bugs seemed to love me a bit too much, especially when I was trying to sleep. Guess I'm just too attractive for them to resist.

The lodge facilities were top-notch, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The spa was a highlight, with professional and friendly staff, and serene and relaxing rooms. The scenery surrounding the resort was absolutely breathtaking, with stunning views of the mountains. We also appreciated the wide range of activities available, ensuring that there was never a dull moment during our stay. The location was also very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and activities.
There were a few aspects of our experience that we were less than impressed with. the check-in process was extremely frustrating, as we were told we needed to make payment even though we had already paid through a different platform.

We loved the modern and comfortable accommodation at Cayley Mountain Resort. the housekeeper was attentive and made our stay even more enjoyable. the location was perfect for us, and we took advantage of the putt putt and tennis court. The BLISS SPA was a great addition to our relaxing getaway. Cons: Not obvious to find.

The hotel's decoration was charming and had a cozy feel, especially in the lounge area with the fireplace. It reminded me of my own home and made me feel comfortable during my stay. The general areas of the hotel were well-maintained and easy to navigate, which was important for me as a senior. The staff were also very helpful in assisting me with any questions or concerns I had.
I would have liked to see more activities and amenities specifically catered towards senior guests. It would have been nice to have options for gentle exercise classes or organized outings that are suitable for older individuals.

The view of the Cathkin Peak and Champagne Castle ranges from the hotel was absolutely breathtaking. It felt like I was staring at a Bob Ross painting come to life. The beauty was simply unreal.
Tar road condition.

From riding the Cayley Cruiser barge, to grilling in the entertainment area with the BBQ and hot tub, we were living our best lives. And let's not forget about all the fun activities like tennis, mini-golf, and paintball. We were always on the move, never a dull moment!
The only thing we wished for was a dedicated party zone for young people like us. Don't get us wrong, the resort was great, but it would have been even more epic if there was a specific area where we could dance, play loud music, and let loose without worrying about disturbing others.

Guests can enjoy a ride on one of Cayley Cruiser barges, which was a fun and unique experience for our family. The entertainment area with BBQ facilities was perfect for us to have a great family cookout. We also had a blast playing mini-golf and paintball, which added an extra level of excitement to our stay. The resort truly offers a range of activities that kept everyone entertained and created unforgettable memories.
For dads, it would be great if the resort had a dedicated play area for younger children.
